Where are you finding these places? I love the mediaeval feel to this shot. Another one which dares the viewer to look inside at what has been kept hidden from view.
I love this Marcelo. I have always been intrigued by pictures of doors that are closed or slightly open. It makes me wonder what is behind it! I love your work.
That’s a beautiful photo, the textures, the light….and the subject. I would love a little room of silence to slip away into whenever the talking gets too much 🙂
Can’t remember if I told you how much I like this. I have a “thing” for photos of doors. Odd, I know, but I do, and this is fabulous. Hope you are doing well. 😀
If the door could only tell us the stories of those who have passed through… It is a reminder that solitude – time with self – is healing. Beautiful capture!
Thanks Theresa.
It is necessary to be brave to pass through certain doors, we can remain paralysed by the fear of the unknown.

“The man who comes back through the Door in the Wall will never be quite the same as the man who went out. He will be wiser but less sure, happier but less self-satisfied, humbler in acknowledging his ignorance yet better equipped to understand the relationship of words to things, of systematic reasoning to the unfathomable mystery which it tries, forever vainly, to comprehend”
An image that says a lot… a lot about our needs today. We all need it more than ever. But I think some of us are afraid of silence.
I appreciate silence. That’s when I have the opportunity to really think and feel.
There’s a quote that I like that also says a lot;
He who does not understand your silence will probably not understand your words. (Elbert Hubbard).
I totally agree with you: there are people who are afraid of silence because they want to avoid discovering the identity of their own life.
We must learn how to enjoy the silence because it is a way for us to learn how to listen deeply to the others.
Dear Marcelo,
An amazing image.Thank you!
How are you? I hope recovering well!
I’m working very, very long hours, and am not left much time for blogging these days, but when I do have some moments this is one of the places I like to come.
Take care, and a big hug for you! _Resa
Thank you Resa for spending part of your scarce personal time in visiting my blog.
I think that you also need a moment of silence and relaxation to escape from the routine to enjoy a moment of peace, quiet, silence and tranquillity.
I hope you get it! 🙂
Fortunately, everything is going pretty well in my recovery.
Take care.
