Hi Marcelo, Thank-you for visiting my blog recently, Ive had a few ups and downs within my photographic journey. As Im studying photography Ive dipped my hand into so many areas, Ive made many mistakes, (even learning about the power of words, on a blog). Im going back to my original idea of a humanity campaign and hope to be invited to some of the lower socio-economic areas of Sydney. I hope to photograph in a photo journalistic way. Thank-you for your support.
I love the head in the box, its has an off beat, scary feel, but its very lovely.
All the best, Adele
Thanks Adele, it is always a pleasure to visit your blog.
One of the best ways to update or increase our photographic knowledge is try to recreate the work of other photographers until you find your own particular method and style. It involves the search for and experimentation with new techniques, materials and work flows.
Thank-you for the kind words Marcello, I just feel that its hard to shoot expensive shoots when there are so many problems in this world. I suppose something Im facing, fashion etc not very important, although it is lovely to have nice things. I think I may be moving toward photo journalism. Of course art photography is always a pleasure, especially yours, very admirable.
Kindly, Adele
Yes, Marcelo, this is an excellent photo. I have to admit when it first popped up it startled me (Marcelo is scaring me again) but that is the whole point – to be effective and evoke a response.
To some extent I have placed them in a box, Marcelo – and closed the lid. I had to think about what you said. Do I wish some of the things that happened did not happen? Yes. But they made me what I am – a more compassionate person and led me to try to make things beautiful. I have seen that happen with other artists, too – like you.
Bad experiences can be traumatic and cause an irreparable harm. Art embodies the healing factor that allows us to mitigate or recover from virtually any wound.
