Abrazo.
Thanks Resa
The key to succeeding in this kind iof photography is teamwork.
I tremendously thankful for the readiness, professionality and close cooperation of the people that make all of this possible.
To work with young people is a big challenge to look at the world, as they are looking to, I am glad, that I have so much contact to the young generation, one are my kids, the next are the one, I am working with …
to your pics … it seems to me like modern symbolism … I like both works, even if I am prefering the black and white one, because of the symbolism …
how good, that you are back!
keep care and have good days and ways, dear Marcelo

Thanks Ulli.
These are truly dark times in my country for young people, despite having a high level of academic qualifications, they have to cope an extremely high unemployment rate (higher tan 55%) which meant that it was practically impossible to find a job.
Their discipline, tenacity and perseverance to get ahead through their own effort are worthy of admiration and of help.
The B&W version has something to do with the somber reality we all have to face.
Beautiful photographs. Very dramatic. Interesting the contrast of the tones and values between colour and black/white. I love comparing the expression in the eyes between the two images. I swear they are different. And then they are the same. And then…
Thanks Steven.
Fortunately it has nothing to do with the famous “lost in translation (conversion) effect”, because each of these two pictures has a different story to tell.
Beautiful! This is interesting as the monochrome and color are both really fabulous to the eye. The monochrome gives it a 20’s feel and the color gives it a 60’s feel (at least to my eye).

Beautiful work, Marcelo! What’s your favourite subject to photograph?
marcelo leonard said:
Thanks Millie
I have not a favourite subject o theme. I make a photograph of anything that may convey the concept of impermanence.

I agree, nothing like working with young people. These are both compelling, but your signature black and white transcends.

Thanks Elena
Conveying my feelings through colours remains a challenge for me .For the time being, I feel much more comfortable working in B&W.

I still have a lot to learn about how to use colours to convey my emotions, but I have not yet led to satisfactory results.
